Day 1: Huaraz In-City Tour / Monterrey Hot Baths
Reception and transfer to the hotel. City tour in the Huaraz city: we will visit the Señor de la Soledad Temple, the typical street of Jose Olaya, the trouts breeding ground, the vantage point of the city and the hot baths of Monterrey, in which we will enjoy a relaxing bath in the swimming pool or in individual pools. Lunch. Free afternoon. Night in Huaraz.
Day 2: Callejon De Huaylas / Llanganuco Lagoon
Tour in the Callejón de Huaylas, formed by the black and white mountain range. We will visit the beautiful villages of Anta, Marcara, Carhuaz (where we will enjoy fruit ice creams), the Yungay cemetery, following a 26 km road. We will arrive at the Llanganuco lagoon (Chinacocha), a beautiful lagoon wiith cold and blue waters. When we come back, we will observe the flora and fauna, before having lunch in Caraz. Visit of the center of the Tarica village, and demonstration of the making of ceramics. Trip back to Huaraz. Night in Huaraz.
Day 3: Querococha Lagoon / Chavin De Huantar
Culture and relaxation in the Callejon de Conchucos. During the tour, we will pass by the cities of Recuay, Ticapampa, Catac, the Querococha lagoon, from which we will see the ecological fault of the map of Peru. Following the ravine, we will walk through the white mountain range, though the Cahuish tunnel, the highest tunnel of the world, with a 480 meter length. We will visit the Kercos villages and the modern village of Chavín, which is located on the banks of the Mosna river, before arriving at the ceremonial center of Chavín de Huantar, cradle of the Andean civilization, which is the oldest structure made of stone in the Peruvian culture (200 BC). In the impressive temple, we can see the Monolithic Lanzon of Chavin and, on it walls, stand out the famous Tenon Heads. Lunch in Chavin. Night in Huaraz.
Day 4: Puya Raimondi / Nevado Pastoruri / Huaraz Out
In the direction of the snow-capped Pastoruri mountain. This is an adventure tour, during which we will know the villages we will pass by in the ravine. We will visit the San Patricio cave, Ticapampa, Catac, the Patococha lagoon, and the highest place representative of the Andean flora, the “Puya Raimondi” (the most beautiful place representative of the flora in the high Andes). We will visit the aerate spring of Puma pampa, the Pumashimin water eye (lagoon with a variety of coulours), and the cave paintings on its rocky walls. In the end, we will go on a short walk before arriving at the majestic snow-capped Pastoruri mountain, in order to enjoy its ice formations and experience an unforgettable walk in the snow and play on the natural slides formed in the ice. We will then go to Huaraz, where you will be taken to the bus.
