During the Inca Empire period, the Ausangate (6,372 m.) was, without doubt, one of the most important divinities for the people at the time. Its steep spurs and huge walls of ice and rock turned this mountain into a real “God”, a description which even lasted until those days. The people living around consider it a sacred place, and those who have the opportunity to get closer or see the world from its summits discover the enigmatic charm of this place, set deep in the mountains, in the south of Cusco City, on the Vilcanota mountain chain. This is a tour for those who wish to move away from the mass of tourists in Cusco.
